AMain Sports & Hobbies (AMain.com, Inc.) is a successful online retailer with a Distribution Center located in Charlotte, NC and Chico, CA. We currently sell Radio Controlled (RC) cars, trucks, helicopters, airplanes, drones and more, through our website at www.AMainHobbies.com. We also sell bicycles and bike accessories through our website at www.AMainCycling.com. Founded in early 2004, AMain has proven itself as a trusted retailer in the RC and Bicycling industries. Please note: All positions are for full or part-time on-site employees. Remote employees, agencies and other outside parties are not being considered. Also, upon accepting an offer for employment, candidate will be required to successfully complete a drug screening.
Job Title: Distribution Center Associate (Part-Time)
Reports to: Distribution Center Supervisor and West Coast Operations Manager.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Summary: Responsible for daily pulling of customer orders, restocking of incoming inventory, and warehouse organization. Functions as a key part of a team.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Pulls and double checks customer orders accurately and in a timely fashion.
2. Restocks incoming inventory to correct locations in warehouse and maintains overstock areas.
3. Ensures all customer orders are treated with the highest priority. AMain's goal is to ship orders out the same day if received before Noon or at least within 24 hours of receipt.
4. Incorporates and applies AMain's Core Values into daily duties.
5. Ability to receive and apply direction from Distribution Center Supervisor and West Coast Operations Manager.
6. Recognize, document and alert the Distribution Center Supervisor and West Coast Operations Manager of any issues or concerns.
7. Reports injuries to Distribution Center Supervisor and West Coast Operations Manager within 24 hours of event.
8. Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
9. Reports any safety issues to Distribution Center Supervisor and West Coast Operations Manager immediately.
10. Communicate ideas for better organization, better work flow, and suggestions to Distribution Center Supervisor and West Coast Operations Manager verbally or written.
11. Ability to be flexible for other duties that may not be listed above as required by Distribution Center Supervisor and West Coast Operations Manager.
Non-Essential Responsibilities (duties performed on an as-needed basis):
1. Packing/shipping of customer orders for shipment in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.
2. Receives incoming inventory, unpacks boxes, and correctly checks/scans against invoices.
3. Integrates new inventory stock using current organizational procedures.
Education/Experience Requirements:
1. No Degree Required.
2. Prior related experience helpful in all areas.
3. Basic reading, writing, oral communication and arithmetic skills required.
4. Computer literate (knowledge of Excel, Word, Email, Internet) with the ability to learn new software applications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Must be able to correctly identify and match inventory part numbers at a fast pace.
2. Remote control car/helicopter/airplane knowledge is helpful, but not necessary.
3. Ability to work/multi-task in a fast-paced, growing, company environment.
4. Attention to details a must in a fast paced environment.
5. Good organizational and planning skills.
6. Ability to be a self-starter and take initiative when necessary.
7. Must be available for work approximately 40 hours per week.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
1. Must be able to walk and stand regularly on hard surfaces.
2. Regularly pushing and pulling of orders, shipping, restock carts.
3. Manual dexterity (skill in using the hands adeptly and regularly).
4. Regularly reaching with hands and arms.
5. Regularly bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, sitting, reaching and stretching throughout the day.
6. Regularly work in extreme temperature conditions (hot/cold).
7. Frequently lift and/or move 40 pounds, sometimes continuously for short periods of time.
8. Frequently climb or balance on ladders.
8. Occasionally maneuver heavy materials with the use of pallet jack or hand truck as required and maintains tools and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
9. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), and ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
10. Moderate noise environment.
