POSITION SUMMARY:
B.A.T.S. is seeking motivated, energetic, experienced and or entry level Traffic Controllers for our Butte County Branch. Traffic Technicians and Apprentices assist the Traffic Control Lead in the following areas: Traffic Control setups and Device Installations, Pedestrian Control, Flagging and Traffic Direction.
POSITION DUTIES:
Customer Service
Flagging
Traffic Device Installation
Traffic Plan Review
Pedestrian Control
Driving and Equipment Towing
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Can lift up to 50lbs
Current member of the Local Laborers Union (LIUNA) preferred but not required
Good customer service and communication skills (both written and oral)
Must read/write in English
Bi-lingual preferred but not required
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
Flexible Schedule a must
Clean driving record preferred
Valid Driver’s License Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Traffic Control experience preferred but not required
Current Flagging Certification preferred but not required
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience driving pick-up trucks preferred
Must be able to withstand long hours on feet, exposed to the elements
