Pacific Recycling Solutions is currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented Scale Attendant.
A Scale Attendant is responsible for weighing trucks in and out of the facility, generating scale tickets and maintaining ticket filing. Sorts daily paperwork and distributes accordingly. Other duties as assigned to assist with the smooth operation of the department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Account for all scale tickets
-Ability to understand instructions
-Maintain a cordial relationship with customers
-Manage the flow of trucks. Perform duties in a timely fashion and keep trucks moving across the scale at a reasonable rate.
-Explain scale and yard procedure to new customers
-Inbound Material- Record customer, truck identification, contract number (when needed), description and grade of material, check ID (if necessary), gross, tare, and net weights
-Outbound Material- Record truck identification, description and grade of material, gross, tare, and net weights. Ensure outbound trucks are only to authorized purchasers.
-Maintain accurate daily records of scale operations
-Restrict scale house access to authorized personnel only
-Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation
