DESCRIPTION:

The Transportation Manager is responsible for managing all transportation personnel and functions. The Manager ensures that all technology, systems, procedures, and processes are in place to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient execution of all departmental tasks.

Managers at ProPacific Fresh are responsible for the continuous development, coaching, training, and motivating of their direct reports to ensure they are performing to their full potential and their respective department are meeting or exceeding established financial objectives. Managers are responsible for being the resource for their direct reports and ensuring that they have all the available tools to do their job efficiently and effectively.

DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Oversee all PPF product and/or 3PL delivery activity including relative metrics, KPIs, and objectives.

Work directly with the Sales Management team in an ongoing effort to maximize route efficiency and profitability per established objectives.

All inbound Transportation related activity including line haul, outside carrier, systems management, earned income maximization (i.e. Peachtree), variance minimization, freight lane development and interdepartmental coordination

Works directly with all Federal, State, local, 3rd party, and the PPF Human Resource Team to maintain and ensure all safety and compliance training events, schedules, inspections, and measureables are met and/or exceeded i.e. Food Safety, ELD Compliance and CSA Score

Oversees the management of weekly driver and equipment schedules based on route criteria and maintenance needs.

Oversees the monitoring of daily route performance to ensure all Omnitracs delivery data is accurately logged and all deliveries are completed.

Is responsible for all equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance along with maintaining overall equipment appearance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3-5 years experience in related field

Successful track record in trucking and distribution

California CDL preferred
