DescriptionAccounts Receivable (A/R) Clerks who are self-starting and detail-oriented will be excited about this opportunity! This is a short-term temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Corona, California area. Accountemps is filling a job opening for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk, to join the accounting team at a growing Manufacturing company. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be entering, posting, and reconciling batches, as well as researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. A strong candidate for this job will be looking for career growth potential, and be capable of processing 200+ invoices per week.What you get to do every dayIdentify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
Communicate information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
Confirm documents and codes
Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP
Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans
Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization
RequirementsCommand of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Demonstrated knowledge of Aging Reports
General familiarity with Spanish Language
Dynamic Websites experience highly desired
Adeptness in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Code Invoices experience preferred
Dynamics experience
Commercial collections experience desired
Strong familiarity with Excel Formulas
Proficient in ERP systems
Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred
