Sr. Functional Analyst supporting the Naval Aviation Enterprise Data Management at COMNAVAIRPAC
Secret clearance required for this position.
Candidates must be a self-starter, be able to demonstrate understanding and problem-solving skills and can communicate well as part of a team to solve problems.
Candidate should possess the following:
Excellent understanding of relational database design and development
Proficient in SQL programming
Experience in all phases of SDLC and demonstrated experience in requirements analysis, development, and testing.
Experience in creating computational MS Access development.
Knowledge in manipulating MS Access, MS Excel and MS Power BI Desktop using Visual Basic. Programming is focused on computational functions vs admin functions.
Familiarity with Tableau Software and Dashboard development or other Data Analytics display tools.
Strong understanding of data visualization:
Be able to create visualizations and reports
Analyze, interpret, write, and optimize complex queries working with large and multiple sets of aviation or cost data
Develop workflow documentation for all charts and dashboards using multiple data sources.
Design and implement analytics and reporting including but not limited to dynamic reports, dashboards, drill downs, visualizations, etc.
Expert knowledge in MS Outlook utilizing calendar to create meeting invitations, cancellation, and distribution lists
Understanding definitions and terms cost estimation and cost analysis processes of the Department of Defense
Ability to produce briefs utilizing MS Power Point
Functions: Serves as a Team Lead. Responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and troubleshooting software programs to include desktop applications and computer-based Information Technology (IT) systems. Shall design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot databases and programs; correct database and program errors using methods which include modifying program or altering sequence of program steps; analyze, review, and/or rewrite databases or programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt program to new requirements to include web hosting of metrics; compile and write documentation for database and program development and subsequent revisions; and train users to use databases or programs. Compiles and writes documentation of program development and subsequent revisions. Trains operators to use programs.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
A minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in a relevant field
Working knowledge of Naval Aviation manpower, maintenance, and supply processes
and their data systems (i.e., NAMP, P-485, Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) OOMA, NALDA IDE DECision Knowledge Programming for Logistics Analysis and Technical Evaluation (DECKPLATE), DECision Knowledge Engine Transaction Reporting (DECKETR), Aircraft Maintenance Supply Readiness Reporting (AMSRR), RSUPPLY, Aviation Financial Analyst Tool (AFAST), ACES, TFMMS, Sierra Hotel Aviation Reporting Program (SHARP)/(Marine) M-SHARP, PSILS, and ASM) 3. Basic/Intermediate Military language knowledge is desired 4. Intermediate knowledge level of currently utilized applications and programming (i.e., Excel, ACCESS, VBA), intermediate programming skills and ability in SQL-based Languages, and Tableau Software
5. Experience in Data Analytics and the use of SharePoint desired
6. Experience in utilizing DoD authorized chat rooms (i.e., MS Teams, WEBEX)
