Anime Project manager Location: Culver City, CA Duration: 12+months
Note: Chinese language mandatory.
Must Have: Some gaming experience (preferably F2P or Anime) F2P = Free to play Localization experience – translating eastern games to western market
Can be 100% remote so long as they are located in California or Hawaii time zones.

Mobile Game Project Manager - Anime (Chinese) (Contract) As the Mobile Game Project Manager – Anime (Chinese), this person will handle frontline communications with Asian game development teams to release and operate Eastern mobile F2P games for the Western Market, enabling clear messaging and coordinating live operations. They will also own the localization process, including managing appropriate parties and vendors for translations, proofreading and approving localized content, and providing translations for localized assets and text as needed.
Operational duties: - Developer communications - Cross functional internal communication with QA, CS, CD, etc - Management of in game events, notices, timelines - Basic oversight of community / social media
Localization duties: - Translate and localize in-game text, user interface, and other game strings - Review and provide linguistic feedback to a translation done by localization vendors or by Localization Coordinators as needed - Assist in planning localization projects and updating various localization process documents as projects are received and completed - Other duties as assigned
Requirements: - Fluency in Chinese (Spoken: Mandarin, Text: Simplified) and English - 3+ years of relevant work experience in adapting Eastern games for Western markets, preferably as a Project Manager - Understanding of the end-to-end localization process for games or software products - Excellent English written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to cultivate productive and positive relationships with external partners, managers, and peers - BA/BS or 2+ years equivalent work experience
