Product Design Engineer II 6 Months ContractCupertino, CAJob DescriptionThe Client Thermal team is seeking a world-class Thermal Engineer to play a key role in the Definition and Design of Client products. The primary responsibility of this role will be to ensure that all thermal objectives are met or surpassed in order to optimize the user experience of Client customers. Key Qualifications • DEEP TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE IN: • - conduction, convection (passive and active), and radiation • A THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF: - Statistics/mathematics/6-sigma background • - scripting languages (perl, tcl, etc.) • - MATLAB or equivalent toolkit • - flow and thermal measurement techniques o materials and manufacturing processes • - The ability to think creatively and devise novel solutions to complex, multi- discipline design problems • - Persistent attention to detail • - The ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment • - Strong communication skills Education & Experience MS from ME or AA with at least 3 yrs of product development experience; Hands on thermal testing Statistics/mathematics/6-sigma background CFD (Icepak or StarCCM+) Open to a new culture, willing to change work styles to adapt to Client culture (examples: debating, attention to details, quality of presentation) The ability to clearly communicate technically complex material within cross-functional design teams is a must, as is the ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
