Title: Localization Producer - Marketing Location: Cupertino, CADuration: 6 Months Required Skills:
• 5yr – 10yr experience in project management (Marketing industry)
• Ability to work on projects
• Translation management system
Must be able to work out of business hours if needed (late nights, weekends or holidays)
Key responsibilities:

  • Plans and projects manage complex globalization efforts for Marketing content. Manages end to end production for translation, validation, layout, and in-context review of content, resolving a variety of highly complex issues
  • Works closely with Business Partners, prioritizes projects, and manages schedules and scope to identify resourcing needs against workload
  • Supports global campaign validation for Marketing’s seasonal campaigns
  • Supports creating test cases for campaign validation in Radar and screen, triage, consolidate duplicate tickets from the validation team
  • Briefs global suppliers on localization efforts, ensuring they have detailed business context to produce world-class localization
  • Ensures content is geo-ready. Uploads, downloads, and tracks status of projects as they route through translation tools such as WorldServer and project trackers
  • Acts as the point of escalation for all content and linguistic queries from linguists. Works with business partners to resolve content and translation queries or bugs Key Qualifications:
  • Has experience and ability to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing, and sometimes unpredictable marketing work environment
  • A can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities across country based talent in multiple timezones
  • Has a strong appreciation for product/cultural nuances by geography
  • Detailed knowledge of translation on and localization processes
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to handle directional changes with the ability to juggle moving priorities to ensure project success
  • Proficiency with Apple products and applications is preferred
  • Language skills in one or more languages other than English
  • Experience with translation and project management tools e.g. SDL WorldServer or other translation management systems
  • Experience in multilingual graphic design, desktop publishing, and knowledge of programs like iWork, MS Office, iBooks Author, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is highly preferred
Education:
  • 5 years + experience as project manager or producer within the localization industry or within an international creative agency/marketing environment
  • BA in Linguistics / Translation, Graphic Design, Marketing, Technical or business-related field
