The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our client, a multinational IT company specialized in consumer products (hardware & software) and services.

Location: Cupertino, CA

Duration: 10 months contract with possibility of renewal

Candidate must be eligible for direct W2 contract without employment sponsorship.

Job Descriptions

The Manual Tester will be part of the Video Computer Vision organization which is the centralized applied research and engineering department responsible for developing real-time on-device Computer Vision and Machine Perception technologies across our client's products. We balance research and product to deliver product quality, state-of-the-art experiences, innovating through the full stack, and partnering with hardware, software and machine learning teams to influence the sensor and silicon roadmap that brings our vision to life. Examples include FaceID.

You will work with and learn from world-class developers the Computer Vision and Camera Engineering groups. You also need to:

  • be able to adapt fast pace
  • can follow development cycle and always deliver within short deadline.
  • Pick up computer vision technology in a short time
  • Ask right questions and help camera and computer vision developers track issues
  • Develop test plans with the goal of thorough system evaluation
  • Perform testing and failure analysis twice per week or more
  • Deliver reports that are suitable for executive level presentation.

Job Requirements:
  • BS or MS CS/CE/EE (or equivalent) in the area of computer science, computer vision, machine learning, robotics, is helpful but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in the area of manual software testing.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, be able to describe and document clearly
  • Real passion for quality, exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with varying priorities
  • Ability to work multi-functionally with other teams and groups
  • Experience with testing products built with machine learning would be plus
  • Experience with computer vision would be plus
  • Experience in software development, programming experience with Python would be plus
