Job Responsibilities:

• Perform Cogen inspection routes, monitoring equipment, reading gages, and recording data in operational logs, reporting any abnormal conditions to the supervisor
• Perform assigned maintenance and operational tasks on all plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner, to include overhaul and repair, and routine greasing and servicing
• Perform operations (start/stop, open/close) on large equipment, to include cooling towers, chillers, generators, and electrical switchgear Adhere to all company procedures and policies including, but not limited to, Lock-Out-Tag-Out, NFPA 70E, Start-up and Shut-down procedures, Plant and Facility Safety and Security procedures & policies
• Regularly clean assigned spaces, and equipment
• Perform routine oil and oil filter changes
• Will assist with maintaining adequate parts and consumables inventories
• Will be responsible for meeting and maintaining all corporate administrative requirements, including designated on-line training
• Provide support for facilities Maintenance and Repair
• Provide On-call support for 2nd, 3rd, 4th shifts, Provide Support for Electrical Infrastructure Operations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree, or certificate from a technical/trade school with major course work in power plant maintenance and operations,
• Or 4-years military or merchant marine service with experience in industrial power plant operations and repair/overhaul of plant equipment,
• Or 2-years of experience as an industrial Power Plant Operator,
• Or a combination of schooling and training that satisfies the above criteria

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field,
• Military or Merchant Marine service having operations and/or maintenance experience with Main and Auxiliary propulsion and power generation equipment,
• Stationary Engineering experience operating and/or maintaining Standby Generation, Solar, and Co-generation equipment

• Ability to take direction and work under pressure due to time constraints
• Ability to prioritize
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn the use of, manually operated hoists (chain or cable)
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn the use of, measuring tools (Calipers, micrometers)
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn the use of, man lifts, industrial lift truck operations
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn the use of, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Knowledge of standard and metric tools and tool sizes
• Knowledge of Ladder Logic, control systems, and PLCs is a plus
• Willing to go the extra mile to get a job done correctly and on-time
  Requirements

• Willing to work evenings, weekends and overtime as needed in support of operations and maintenance tasks
• Available for occasional travel of up to two-weeks at a time for training and off-site support
• Able to lift and carry up to 50-pounds over short distances in a safe manner
• Able to climb and work from ladders in a safe manner
• Able to work from heights using appropriate PPE
• Able to distinguish colors and color codes
• Able to hear and distinguish Alarm signals in an industrial environment
• Willing to continue formal and on-the-job education and training as needed
