Looking for individuals with a proven track record leading and managing teams as a section manager in the areas of Antennas, RF and Microwave design to work with our team within the Antenna Products Design Group. You will be leading and supervising a talented team on the development and sustainment of next generation antennas and active arrays for airborne radars.A successful candidate will be an experienced team lead and possess the ability to work in a high octane environment and manage engineers who are involved in the development of requirements, architecture, design, analysis, detailed trade studies, simulation and test of antennas and active antenna subsystems. A successful candidate will have the technical knowledge and understanding of the products being managed and experience acting as a leader for a group of engineers.The applicant will lead proposals and program execution to meet program specifications within allocated cost and schedule. They will prepare and manage staffing and loading across the period of performance, facilitate design performance and cost trade-offs, manage risks and opportunities, organize and lead team meetings, participate in internal design reviews, and program and customer reviews.The candidate should be familiar in the use of Earned Value Management System (EVMS). They will prepare and present Program Performance Reviews (PPRs), Variance Analysis Reviews (VARs), Estimate At Completion (EACs) and other reports for periodic meetings for the department. They will be responsible to evaluate performance of the program and take necessary actions to keep the program within cost & schedule while identifying and mitigating program risks.Experience should include functional & team management, including team leadership, staffing, staff management, performance & career development and team development. They will be actively engaged in developing staffing plans and hiring.The individual should be self-motivated and be prepared to work with a focused team with an innovative, yet schedule oriented mindset. They will be looked upon for pursuing IRAD projects, leading proposal activities and providing cost estimates based on prior programs, and authoring Basis of Estimates (BOEs).The candidate will be a team leader and must have a proven track record leading and working well within multi-disciplined teams. They will have engagement with program managers and other functional management to align staffing with program needs.Required Skills: Minimum 10 years of hands on industry experience in RF/Microwave hardware design & development, technical leadership, functional leadership or IPTL/CAM experienceAbility to perform trade study of RF product architecturesDemonstrated knowledge in antennas and electromagneticsDemonstrated knowledge in antenna subsystem design and architectural trade analysis of related productsExperience in proposals and developing technical solutions and writing portions of both technical and cost volumesPerforming design and supplier trade studies and supplier assessmentsIdentifying and managing risks and opportunitiesStrong leadership & interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasksU.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.Current DoD Secret ClearanceDesired Skills:Experience measuring antennasExperience in active array subsystem integration and testExperience working with production support in a factory environmentExperience performing root cause analysis and correcting defectsFront Line Leadership TrainingProgram Management Certification, or EquivalentEVMS CertifiedSCRUM or Agile Training and/or ExperienceSpecial Access ClearancesAbility to travelRequired Education: B.S. in Electrical EngineeringDesired Education: M.S. in Electrical Engineering164271Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
