The position provides an opportunity to support the Launch Enterprise Program as a senior level integrator for critical National Security Space Launch (NSSL) missions.Position will support SMC Launch Enterprise and various satellite program offices as part of a collaborative team responsible for successfully planning and executing a wide variety of activities leading up to a satellite’s launch. Successful applicant responsibilities may include procedure development, launch vehicle interface control, mission readiness support, and launch campaign operations. Other responsibilities may include analysis facilitation and disposition of technical, programmatic, and schedule issues, and exercise of Day of launch anomaly processes and decision-making during launch rehearsals. This role involves working closely with assigned government and contractor mission teams that may be augmented by many other elements as required to support needed manufacturing surveillance, product integrity assessments, risk management, technical evaluations, requirements development and verification, independent validation and verification, launch base surveillance, and related post flight analysis.Successful applicant will organize face-to-face meetings and teleconferences and review technical and programmatic documentation related to assigned missions. Work will primarily be conducted at Los Angeles AFB, CA with travel in the United States to support successful execution of NSSL missions.Required Qualifications:Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering in STEM
At least 20 years of experience in space or launch programs
S. Citizen with Secret Clearance
At least 10 years Program Management experience
Desired Qualifications:Knowledge and experience with National Security Space missions
Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using SMC and/or government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction.
