Kforce has a client in El Segundo, CA that is seeking two Software Engineer - Level 3 roles. These Developers will be supporting Live and DVR Automation efforts.

Our client is seeking two Senior Java/Spring/Python Software Engineers to join their team. This is an opportunity to be part of a team of world class talent at the forefront of innovation and technology.
Responsibilities:
Senior Software Engineer will design and develop the next generation of linear, OTT video
Lead the design, architecture, planning across Video compression, DVR, Conditional access, CDN strategy, Service Provider and Data Center environments
Effectively contribute towards the development of quality Live and DVR services across the company
In this role, the Senior Software Engineer designs, analyzes, plans and modifies components and architecture in support of the wireless and wireline infrastructure for Video Services
Works with key internal stakeholder & vendors to determine future business & customer needs
Facilitate and lead design reviews between cross functional groups
Senior Software Engineer will understand long term design vision and present the strategic benefits of adopting a consistent architectural approach
REQUIREMENTS:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), or related discipline
Ability to work in fast paced agile environment with ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change
Understanding of Video Streaming and DVR business
Lead and participate in design and solution development meetings
Ability to work under stressful situations, meet tight deadlines and deliver services with high quality
Work in SAFe environment
Ability to examine situations from a highly analytical perspective
Ability to take on a leadership role in a team environment
Ability to understand specific needs in which to create or alter solutions
Ability to understand and drive In-Service Performance issues for complex systems
Working knowledge of Container Platforms (Kubernetes)
Working knowledge of Microservices architecture and REST API
Excellent Communication & Presentation skills
4 years or more Development experience working with the following technologies:
Java/Spring
Python
Design Pattern Tool (MVT/MVC)
Functional expertise in one or more of the following areas:
OTT, DVR, IPTV, MobileTV experience.
Content Production, Management, Delivery & Distribution
Content management systems
Content processing: Encoding, Transcoding
Video Compression and Distribution; Headend: Encoders and Decoders, multiplexers
Conditional Access and Encryption systems in broadcast, web based and software-based content delivery systems
VoD technologies/video servers
Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) technologies (Edgeware, Azure, Limware, Akamai)
