Who you are
The Systems Engineer is a technical position within Prosum's Managed Services division, responsible for managing our customers' technology infrastructure, and solving critical issues as they come up. The Systems Engineer reports to the Sr. Manager - Reactive Services and will serve as an escalation point to the helpdesk, NOC, and field technicians. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience in

a breadth of technologies including Microsoft, networking, virtualization, and storage. He or she should have extensive experience monitoring and maintaining highly available systems.

Essential Functions:
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to provide a high level of customer service to our clients
  • Serve as an escalation point to more junior colleagues such as helpdesk analysts and field technicians.
  • Microsoft server administration- including Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint, SCCM
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Cloud management, migration and implementation. (Office 365, Azure, Amazon AWS, Intune, etc.)
  • Virtual infrastructure administration (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, NetScaler)
  • Monitor and recommend solutions to change client experiences, and resolve issues faster.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support incidents and adhere to all service management principles.
  • Document all incidents into our ticketing system, updating tickets regularly.
  • Respond to inquiries from teammates and help them resolve hardware or software problems.
  • Resolve issues through client interaction and/or using remote support tools.
  • Take on escalations from the internal service desk team and resolve more challenging issues.
  • Manages their queues and resolves tickets from Highest Priority to Lowest, and from oldest to newest ticket within the queue.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Travel to client sites located throughout LA, Riverside and Orange Counties as scheduled.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Cloud management, migration and implementation. (Office 365, Azure, Amazon AWS, Intune, etc.)
  • Enterprise storage administration (DAS, NAS, SAN)
  • Network (LAN/WAN) administration, Wireless AP (Palo Alto, Meraki, Aruba, Cisco AP’s etc.)
  • VoIP Infrastructure Administration (MS Teams, Ring Central, etc.)
  • Security: Endpoint Security, (SCEP, Cylance, Webroot, CrowdStrike, etc.), Web Proxy (Zscaler), IDS (Microsoft ATA), Account Security (Beyond Trust), Training (KnowBe4), PCI Compliance (Qualys), ID & Access Mgmt (Azure AD)
  • Architect technology solutions for our clients, including requirements gathering and documenting the design
  • Mentor junior team members, helping them through difficult issues/situations.
  • Participate in scheduled on-call shift rotations, including weekends and after hours. The flexibility to work on a varied shift rotation when needed is expected.

Requirements:
  • Ten years of progressive experience in IT, working in a structured support environment, including managing support tickets, diagnostics, escalation routines and issue resolution and closure.
  • Either Bachelor's Degree in Computer/ Information Sciences or current Microsoft and other Certifications.

7-10+ years hands on experience with the following technologies:
