DescriptionA firm in the Encino, California area is seeking a Tax Preparer through Accountemps. Qualified applicants should have a demonstrated ability of being precise, thorough, and completing assignments on time. The the preparation of simple and complex, individual and small business State and Federal tax returns, will depend on the Tax Preparer. This is a long-term temporary role. Submit your application today!ResponsibilitiesAdminister relevant data into Tax software application
Carry out other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Sum up and invoice for form preparation fees
Formulate transaction tax returns manually utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies
Follow up with clients to gather crucial information/documents
Manage incoming client calls to answer tax questions and set appointments
RequirementsWorking knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
Annual Tax experience desired
Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
Excellent data entry skills
Sound written and verbal communication skills
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred
