DescriptionAccountemps is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join a team of highly skilled professionals in a stimulating work environment. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The primary focus of this role is matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Execute additional tasks as needed
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Help with internal and external audits as required
Fullfill full-cycle A/P
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
RequirementsDetailed and have the ability work independently
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Microsoft Excel experience
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
0+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
