Description:
2 open positions – One is for Eureka and the other is Yosemite.
- 50% TRAVEL- they will be in the field, out with crew/apprentices, doing field visits, interaction with foreman, meetings, analysis, tracking and referring to database where they track challenges find in the field.
- The roles have rotations every couple of weeks, sometimes will be assigned in Livermore to support classes. The worker has a week to pick.
- This is a 4/10. RDO could be a Friday or a Monday. No weekend work

Position Summary
The Field Training Coordinator monitors and supports the overall field training program for an assigned geographic area. This employee will monitor and track all phases of field training programs and will identify and correct conditions or situations that interfere with the efficient training and timely progression of all apprentices. This Senior Field Training Coordinator role will have a lineman focus. The area of coverage will be North Coast (Humboldt) or Yosemite. This role will have a flexible work headquarters.

QUALIFICATIONS: (TOP THINGS)
- journeymen linemen experience of at least 4 years
- training experience
- Any experience working with apprentices

Responsibilities
• Manages pre-apprentice and apprentice training progress of 30-50 apprentices.
• Coordinates sequence of training events
• Utilizing a variety of approaches, meets with Superintendents, Supervisors, Foremen and PAL’s / AL’s to reinforce the purpose, goals and OJT/OJE requirements of the program, identifying ways to continually develop employees in the field every day
• Develops and implements corrective action plans
• Conducts formal evaluations
• Reports out on progress at Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC) Meetings as required
• Provides training resources, guidance, and advice to support apprentice programs.
• Maintains files and records (hard copy and electronic) in accordance with company standards, JATC requirements and state of CA requirements.
• Acts as field trainer to aid pre-apprentice / apprentice / employee development
• Interfaces with senior manager or director level for required report-outs (compliance and related issues).
• Assist Experts in providing first-hand expert opinions during JATC fact-finding presentations.
• Provide input as to requirements/changes used to update the Master Apprentice Agreement (MAA).
• Provide support and hold self and other employees accountable for implementation of the safety pledge, USP 22, the code of safe practices and the safety accountability model.
• Ensure that training is completed and properly documented.

Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Journey level in respective technical trade for 4 years or more
• Job-related technical experience, 1 year
