Job Summary: The Website Manager is responsible for the day-today technical operation and optimization of client's direct-to consumer websites on the Shopify-Plus platform. Responsibilities include optimizing functionality, performance, user experience, SEO, and ADA compliance to grow client's DTC ecommerce capabilities and revenue. The Website Manager also interfaces with internal teams, including Information Systems, for integrating into systems for orders/fulfillment, inventory management, and product information.
Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and execute the day-to-day front-end and back-end technical operation of the DTC websites. Troubleshoot technical issues and partner with web engineers, Information Systems, and marketing/creative teams to resolve.
  • Lead technical aspects of new site launches and existing site optimization, ensuring all internal and external partners are included and participating as needed for successful site launches and on-going operations. Partners include web developers, internal IT teams, Consumer Relations, broader internal digital/ecommerce teams, and external partners for SEO and analytics
  • Work with third party vendors as needed to facilitate programming or website changes.
  • Provide technical evaluation of new platforms and applications to meet business goals. Liaise with engineering and IT partners to integrate and troubleshoot new technology platforms and applications.
  • Partner with CRO Manager to improve conversion rate, user experience, and site functionality
  • Evaluate and report on KPIs for site performance; ensure all analytics tools are installed and functioning as expected on all sites
  • Partner with the broader Digital Marketing team on all efforts related to website operations and marketing to deliver profitable revenue growth.
  • Research and make recommendations for new, innovative technologies to help drive website traffic and purchase decisions.
  • Other duties and application support as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3 - 5 years technical experience managing ecommerce websites.
  • Coding knowledge including HTML, PHP, Javascript, Ruby on Rails
  • Technical knowledge to manage and execute day-to-day front end and back end website functionality in partnership with web engineers and IT partners.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus websites.
  • Experience in project management, systems implementation, and application integrations.
  • Experience with identifying, tracking, managing, and resolving project issues.
  • Experience in integrating different applications to an ERP or other legacy systems.
  • Ability and desire to learn new applications and technologies.
  • Strength in decision-making based on numbers and analytics.
  • Strength in organization, prioritizing and time management.
  • Strength in communicating across all audiences, including leadership, internal and external teams, and company stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to resolve client issues without detailed supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment required.
  • Must possess the ability to prepare and give corporate level presentations. Must possess excellent written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, statistical validation, and popular analytics tools like Google Analytics and Mouseflow or similar.
  • Understanding of consumers and key drivers for purchase beyond pricing.
  • Knowledge of marketing and brand positioning; experience aligning to brand positioning in all go-to-market strategies and tactics.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required in Business, Information Technology or related field
