RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client with a fantastic opportunity for a Configuration Analyst with the third largest IT Company in the world (they have many subsidiaries making everything from air conditioners, radios, laptops, POS systems, Cash Handling Machines) in Foothill Ranch, CA.


Essential Functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
Configuration Control; PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Administration; Support for the Business (Product Management/Engineering, Manufacturing/Logistics, Sales/Service/Marketing)
Create/revise product configurations for end customers as required
Maintain tools and provide training for configuration creation/revision requests
Load validated configurations into PLM and ERP applications
PLM/ERP Administration
Chair weekly meetings of current business processes for product introduction, release, revision and EOL
Assist users of the PLM application (Microsoft GP) as an expert user
Update ISO processes related to PLM usage as required
Responsible for all customer BOM releases/revisions and all SCO Software ECOs, including documentation
Support for Manufacturing/Integration/Staging
Facilitate Manufacturing Change Order requests from Production
Assist Engineering in generating Hardware ECO's for purchased parts and manufactured assemblies
Provide support for product introduction and EOL including monitoring inventory and product cut-in
Provide BOM details for pricing
Provide cost analysis reports for ECO changes and new/revised customer BOMs
Support for Product Management/Engineering/Logistics and for Sales/Service/ Marketing
Customarily and regularly exercises independent discretion and judgment
Regular work site attendance

REQUIREMENTS:
2 year Technical or Business degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred with minimum of 5 years related experience; OR, equivalent experience and training
Minimum 5-10 years progressive experience in Configuration Control. Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) processes
Excellent team player, problem solver with a high level of self-motivation and initiative
Able to meet deadlines on a consistent basis
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers
Project management skills
Ability to work independently (and with limited supervision) while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and departments at all levels within the organization
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze detail and perform structured decision-making on a daily basis
Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate to large scope and complexity using company or departmental policies as guidelines
Must be capable of managing multiple priorities effectively and be able to identify and recommend best course of action from several alternatives
