Job Description

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement & enhance simple to complex web applications.
• Developintegration solutionsby integrating internal & external data sourcesto solve business problems.
• Evaluate anddevelop application releases, upgrades, fixes and patches.
• Write optimized unit testing code by using various unit testing framework
• Work with various internal teams in Visa to ensure adherence toward standard software development methodology & framework.
• Partner with internal team's developers to ensure that their code is applying the standards.
• Finding the best and most creative solutions to many different types of problems and help our client & internal teams to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
Three years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Strong working knowledge of Java, JavaScript
Experience with REST APIs, JSON+ and exposure to container based technologies.
Experience with database technologies like MySQL, SQL Server, Mongo DB.
Strong experience with Agile development incorporating Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, utilizing technologies such as Git/Stash, Jenkins, Jira, Jenkins.

Preferred Qualifications:
Four or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Exposure any mainframe-based technologies would be beneficial
Knowledge of programming languages like Angular, Node.js and SQL are desired
Hands-on experience with Windows (preferred) and Linux
Working familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle including version control, build process, testing, and code release
Previous experience with financial services or payments processing domain is a big plus
Ability to multi task and handle multiple competing priorities with minimal direction from management. Should possess excellent planning and organizational skills.
Must be able to write technical design and build documentation for all aspects of a technical infrastructure.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
