JD:
Supports IT infrastructure components (network, server, storage, firewalls, wireless, load balancers, etc.)
for the Northwest Data Center and campuses while maintaining alignment with Corporate Operations.
Supports Life Cycle management by evaluating, tracking, and participating in system upgrades, software
patches, and hardware upgrades. Requires the ability to troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware-
related problems. Can rack and stack infrastructure hardware (servers, routers, switches, firewall, etc.)
and understand cable management. Conduct audits, monitor system status, and recommend
opportunities to improve reliability, availability, and performance. Must be an effective communicator
and comfortable presenting to business stakeholders and management. Provide leadership and
collaborate with OT system administrators, including MFG and ENG Lab Admins, and assign/manage
priorities in day-to-day activities.

Solutions, Wireless, Authentication Solutions, Load Balancing, Windows Server Administration, Antivirus
Administration
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Include the following:
Assist systems engineers with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software,
Systems and servers.
Assist with conducting corrective and preventive hardware maintenance on servers, switches,
uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), and other data center infrastructure
Analyzes network efficiency by conducting network tests and running diagnostics to forecast
performance thresholds. Monitors and reports on network traffic, usage, and performance
Reviews network changes and trends forecast future needs
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness,
approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure

Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Rotate 7x24 on-call troubleshooting and problem resolution
Rotate after-hours support for GIS approved Changes
Research and provide recommendations on new technologies
Attend weekly CAB Approval Meeting
Attend weekly Network Staff Meeting
Provide monthly status report surrounding Projects, Outages, and or Interruptions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Cisco CCNA or ability to attain CCNA required
Hands-On experience with IP networking and networking devices (Switches, Routers,
Firewalls, etc.)
Experience with multiple network equipment vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto) strongly desired
Experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi) strongly desired
Experience with Hyper-V strongly desired
Experience with network management applications such as SolarWinds, PRTG is a plus
Must be able to self-organize workloads and manage deadlines
Accuracy and attention to detail and quality orientation a must
Ability to present complex technology to technical and non-technical audiences
Independent professional that can perform job assignment with limited supervision
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds of test equipment at least 40 feet
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent work experience is required.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Technical:
Cisco Network
o 3+ years’ experience with Cisco routers and switches
o Experience supporting distributed infrastructure
o 1 - 3+ years of hands-on experience with ACLs, Firewalls, Antivirus, and Intrusion Prevention
Systems (IPS)
o Experience supporting end users and troubleshooting and resolving authentication issues
Cisco Radius (ISE)
o 3+ years of experience supporting Cisco Radius
Troubleshooting
AAA Authentication
TACACS
Reporting
Windows Server Support
o 3+ Windows/Unix/Linux administration experience a plus
o Experience VMware and Hyper-V clusters
