Position Description
The California Conservation Corps Fresno Center is looking for a new team member to facilitate all aspects of the Corpsmember Development Program. This is a very dynamic role requiring constant interaction with young men and women (ages 18-25). Primary responsibilities include: coordinating and instructing our Conservation Awareness Class and Career Development Program, planning and supervising recreation and volunteer events, and tracking relevant data. Additional duties include: office/administration work, performing as a staff liaison to the Corpsmember Advisory Board, creating awards and planning events, instructing/coordinating the state drivers program, and assisting with our on-sight education program.
Desired Qualifications & Skills
Successful candidates will have the following experience and/or abilities: understand, follow and enforce site specific and state program policies, format professional documentation, create awards, spreadsheets and Power Point presentations using Microsoft Office Suite, operate a business phone professionally, build and maintain an organized file system, maintain an organized and neat work space, and work productively in both team and independent settings. This is a full time position with weekday evenings and some weekends required. Uniform will be provided. Schedule flexibility is required as shift covers evenings and occasionally weekends. This is not a civil service position.
In addition to the minimum experience and qualifications, the ideal candidate will be articulate and able to engage the age group in a positive and respectful manner. It is imperative that a successful candidate acts within our program rules and expectations at all times.

All applicants will be screened and the most qualified candidates will be invited to an interview. Selected candidate(s) will be chosen and asked to complete additional screening items including: completing a health questionnaire, live scan and drug test. An official position cannot be offered until these steps are complete and approved. Candidate must possess valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.
Candidate must acquire Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement within 6 months of hire. Vehicle, training, and reimbursement of CDL fees will be provided.
