Reporting to the Administrative Director of Critical Care Nursing, the CCU RN Manager will oversee a large and high-acuity unit. Your talents in both Intensive Care Nursing and Clinical Leadership will be front and center as you collaborate across disciplines and departments to ensure that patient care standards are closely maintained. Supported by two experienced Charge Nurses, the CCU Patient Care Manager will provide vision, leadership, and mentorship to a strong staff of 70+ Critical / Intensive Care Registered Nurses.

The Critical Care department in this 300+ bed Medical Center has a great reputation for high-quality patient outcomes. Offering care to both Medical ICU and Surgical ICU patients, this 36-bed department has operations on 2 floors and an amazing team of caregivers. Medical support is provided by Intensive Care Hospitalists and Intensivists staffed around the clock, and close ancillary support is offered by an experienced Respiratory Care Team.


The RN Patient Care Manager will play a crucial role in the clinical and administrative operations of the Critical Care Unit. In collaboration with inpatient financial analysts, you’ll work closely with the Director to develop and maintain the units’ annual budgets. The Nursing Manager will also take oversight of achieving and maintaining target staffing levels to ensure patient care and safety, as well as staying current on compliance standards for a number of regulatory agencies.

Clinically, the RN Manager of CCU Patient Care will play a large role in developing the next generation of high-acuity nurses. This person will help develop and support ongoing in-service education initiatives aimed at improving skills competencies across the unit and across the hospital. Serving as a mentor and role model, the Manager will get to be the change they’ve always wanted to see.
