JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Maintenance Electrician -Entry Level SHIFT: Any TRAINING: 12mon.
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor
LOCATION: Golden Valley Grape Juice & Wine
DATE: 6/14/2021
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for running conduit and wires for Plant projects and machines under supervision.
2. Must learn and use information on how to correctly size motor protection, wires and controls for various applications within the Plant.
3. Must have excellent troubleshooting skills to determine root causes of failure.
4. Be able to install and troubleshoot VFD’s, contact starters and controls for pumps.
5. Must be able to electrically troubleshoot circuits (24vac-480vac). Be able to use a Meg Ohm and VOM.
6. Must be able to work safely and follow Company Food Safety Rules.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Report major issues as he/she becomes aware of them.
2. Tools shall be provided by GVG.
3. Must understand Electrical Codes as they apply to GVG.
4. Must have the ability to assist the team with mechanical repairs as well.
5. Responsible for other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervision.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Basic Electrical training certification preferred but not required.
3. Good mathematics skills are preferred.
4. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work from lift platforms.
5. Wire pulling experience is requested.
6. Good Communication skills - Bilingual helpful. English required – read/write.
