State Licensed Marijuana Manufacturer & Distributor seeking Senior Account Executive / Territory Sales Manager who is an organized and enthusiastic salesperson, preferably familiar with the cannabis industry. The primary goals of this position are to grow the number of retailers carrying our products and to increase the total sales volume in their respective territory. We offer a competitive, performance-based compensation package.

Our company is located in San Diego, California. We are a fast-growing organization with a finger on the pulse of cannabis innovation. We provide packaged flower, pre-rolls, concentrates and other products to licensed retailers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build Relationships - Develop strong relationships with retail buyers, management and sales staff on behalf of The Company

- Optimize Merchandising - Work with retailers to secure high visibility placement for product displays

- Oversee In-store Events - Coordinate and execute in-store consumer sales and education events

- Manage Budtender Educations - Meet with budtenders in shops to teach them about new Company products on their shelves

- Execute Promotions - coordinate with retail staff to develop and implement promotions and sales contests

- Gather Market Intelligence - Gather insight on new products or opportunities and build a holistic understanding of retailers in your territory

- Maintain Industry Knowledge - Keep current with how our brands and products relate to competitors

- Industry Events - Attend events and elevate The Company’s brands through networking and promotions

- Share The Company Story - Present brand messages with authentic, charismatic and persuasive language to retailers, consumers, and influencers

- Reporting - Provide weekly recap reports to management

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

- Always be on-time for sales appointments, budtender trainings and patient appreciation days

- Refrain from consumption of all intoxicating substances before and during work hours

- Exhibit an appearance and demeanor that is professional and responsible at all times

- Maintain access to a reliable vehicle and regularly travel by car to retailers

- Respond to all external and internal communications in a timely fashion

- Use company software

- Arrange and make sales calls

- Coordinate support with brand ambassadors; act as a brand ambassador as necessary

- Work with other team members directly by participating on joint sales calls with prospective clients

- Travel as necessary to trade shows and industry events, on evenings and weekends as necessary

REQUIREMENTS

- Prior sales experience

- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills

- Knowledge of cannabis and/or the cannabis industry or ability to learn a new industry

- Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred

- Personable, articulate, self-motivated, organized

- Pass background check (live scan)
