DescriptionAccountemps is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. There is a quickly growing accounting team looking for a candidate to join them who is interested in great career growth potential and a great benefits package. If you're interested in work where you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, you will succeed in this position. The Accounts Receivable Clerk must be a self-starter with high attention to detail, in order to handle 200+ invoices a week. This is a long-term temporary-to-full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Gardena, California area.How you will make an impactConfirm documents and codes
Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans
Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization
Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders
Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
RequirementsCurrent and relevant ERP system experience
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
