We are a student exchange organization based in Oregon. For the past 30 years, we've been bringing young French and Spanish high school aged students to stay with American families for a few weeks in the summertime. We are searching for a new Sacramento area manager for our summer programs with excellent communication skills and a passion for sharing cultures!
This is a telecommuting, flexible, unique role. Any recruiting and/or management experience is a plus.
Training will be provided to ensure a smooth transition.
Job duties include:
Recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and counseling coordinators/recruiters in assigned areas/communities [number of recruiters to be determined by the main office]; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing recruiting contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedure
Making school presentations
Responsible for overall performance of assigned groups of coordinators/recruiters.
Answer/Address operational questions and issues from coordinators/recruiters and local partners.
Assist in monitoring overall client satisfaction.
Maintain communication with main office and all coordinators/recruiters on a regular basis.
Analyze coordinators/recruiters performance and provide feedback, guidance, training and encouragement in order to impact results.
Assist in the developing of new operations/programs, procedures and policies.
Train coordinators/recruiters with new groups and programs, one-on-one.
Identify trends and adjust system improvements, implementing change if required.
Meets regional financial/budgetary objectives by forecasting requirements to coordinators/recruiters and preparing
program budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Conduct one on one meeting at least twice a month for assigned coordinators-contractors as needed dur- ing recruiting season.
Communicate weekly with coordinators via emails and phone calls/Skype.
Hours vary throughout the year. September-December part-time (20 hours per week), January-March part-time (30 hours per week), March-August full-time.

This is a telecommute position with set of hours of availability (to be determined by the main office) and may include evenings and weekends.
Since this a work-from-home position, a home-office area is strongly recommended with a dedicated computer, Internet, and home phone/cell service in good-working order. Cell plans should be able to accommodate a high volume of calls. American Discovery will provide a business Web mail and e-fax service to be used specifically for all communication pertaining to American Discovery
Relocation is not necessary.
