Busy new cafe City Council in Nevada City is looking for an experienced pastry chef/baker to run our baking program. Applicants MUST have significant experience with laminated doughs (croissants, danishes, kouign-amanns) in addition to a wide variety of other breakfast pastries. Qualified applicants will also have experience with dessert pastries including petit-fours, tortes, medelains, macarons and other European inspired desserts. Our hybrid coffeehouse and restaurant is 4000 sq ft with a brand new kitchen and a significant pastry display at the retail counter. This is a full time position with early hours. City Council is located at 233 Broad Street in the center of Nevada City.
