Andis Wines is a modern, boutique winery producing premium wines sourced from fruit farmed throughout Amador and El Dorado Counties. Our philosophy is simple: find the best people to create a great team to make and sell great wine.
We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual to work in the tasting room part-time on weekends and holidays. A background in hospitality and/or food service is required. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and be ready to work in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to anticipate customer’s and tasting room needs.
General Duties, Qualifications & Abilities:
- Greet guests with a friendly demeanor and smile.
- Learn our history and be able to share our story with guests.
- Explain the wine and food menu and take orders. Quickly relay those orders to the bar/kitchen.
- Deliver wine and food from kitchen to customer.
- Clear tables and light dishwashing as needed.
- Sell wine and promote the wine club.
- Maintain professional etiquette as set by Andis Wines' values and standards.
- Work well under pressure when the winery is busy and handle multiple guests at a time.
- Know the policies, procedures and promotions at the Winery and be able to articulate them to guests in a confident yet friendly manner.
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the Tasting Room Manager or Tasting Room Lead including light cleaning, stocking, etc. in support of the tasting room experience.
- Engage all guests to ensure they are happy with their visit, thank and invite them to return.
- Handle and resolve any customer discrepancies or issues that may arise in a calm manner.
- Understand and adhere to current environmental and safety practices set by the winery.
- Able to handle money and operate a point of sale system.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift/move 50+ lbs.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
