Progress House Inc. is a non-profit organization providing Substance Use Disorder treatment in El Dorado County (West Slope) since 1973. We have an immediate opening at our Corporate office in Placerville, CA for the right candidate to join our team!

Job Description: Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this individual must be able to maintain a professional attitude while performing the following duties, which include all aspects of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and general bookkeeping.

Responsibilities: AR

-Set up Accounts Receivable for entities responsible for payment

-Maintain records of each client and verity funding sources

-Keep current AR transactions, including billing and posting payment receipts

-Verify authorizations, including Medi-Cal, monthly

-Effectively communicate with facilities as needed

-Complete billing for each public funding source by the 5th of each month

-Monitor current contracts and keep an accounting of balances

-Maintain confidentiality

-Collections - Prepare monthly collection sheet after billing, manage collection calls

-Receive payments in Quickbooks and prepare deposits

Responsibilities: AP

-Set up vendors in Quickbooks accounting system

-Maintain records of all payables invoices and payments, including scanning and posting into software

-Code to correct expense accounts and allocations to facilities

-Prepare weekly payables worksheet for approval of invoices to pay

-Keep vendor accounts current, correct and paid timely

-Verify all charges and receipts

-Acquire approvals for payments, print and obtain signature on checks

Other duties:

-Supporting staff duties including telephone and office coverage

-Relaying communication

-Support Executive Director as needed

-Arrange vehicle maintenance and repair as requested

-Pick up and deliver mail and make bank deposits

Qualifications:

-High school diploma/GED (AA or higher preferred)

-Must have computer experience and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Quickbooks

-Ability to accomplish assigned tasks and duties in a timely manner

-Be able to assist and work with other professionals and staff

-Be able to pass a background check
