Emergency Shelter Youth Behavior Specialist

In addition to the County’s only emergency youth shelter, we provide counseling for high-risk youth who are abused, suicidal, experiencing school failure, or engaging in delinquent behavior. POSITIONS AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY
Position: Youth Behavior Specialist in the Placerville area responsible for maintaining an environment that is safe, comfortable and therapeutic for children. This position is for Graveyard Shift PART-TIME employment.
Education/Experience: Strong communication skills required (written/oral); ability to document/translate information in the shelter log, client records and files. Human Services or related field degree and/or experience desired. Must have an understanding of dependent, delinquent and at-risk children. Ability to prioritize tasks in order to maintain client safety a must.
Salary/benefits: Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience and/or education.
Other: Applicant must be fingerprinted/live-scanned and receive a clearance from the FBI, Department of Justice, and the National Child Abuse Index. Applicant must pass a TB test. Use of personal vehicle required; must possess valid CA driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
