Project Assistant (Auburn, CA)
The C Decker Companies is an exciting organization comprised of union and non-union companies specializing in commercial and residential landscape and erosion control construction in California and northern Nevada. Our family of companies is seeking a motivated individual to fill an immediate Project Assistant full time position in our Commercial Construction Division working with nationally recognized general contractors and high profile building projects.
Duties include:
Interface with our Project Manager along with field superintendents and general contractor personnel
Review of project specifications and plans
Preparation of purchase orders
Coordination and ordering of equipment and material at job sites
Assist Project Manager with Change Order preparation and tracking
Prepare, forward, deliver and track project material submittals
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
1+ years construction experience and knowledge
Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Extensive background with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
Ability to work with other company departments
Excellent time management skills
Ability to meet daily deadlines
Dependable, punctual and ability to perform at a professional level
