Tree Pro has over 30 years experience in the tree care industry, providing complete tree and
vegetation management services including tree trimming and removal, defensible space and fuel
load reduction, tree and brush thinning, chipping and clearing, and disaster recovery response.
We are looking for an experienced Climber/Grounds Tech to be a part of our amazing team!
Minimum Requirements:
To join our team, you will need 2-3 years’ experience within the tree industry
Trim and/or remove trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered lift truck, or work from the ground using gasoline and hand-powered saws, pruner, etc. Cut branches or trunk sections and drop or lower them to the ground with lines
Proficient in the use of chain saws in felling trees or trimming trees and in cutting logs into manageable pieces
Ability to load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris.
Ability to operate a chipper and basic chipper maintenance
Ability to tow and back-up a trailer
Valid Class C CDL with a good driving record, Class A or B preferred and highly encouraged.
Valid First Aid and CPR certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Must be able to withstand and work in exposure to all kinds of weather conditions such as rain, heat, cold, snow, as well as exposure to nature i.e., irritating plants, biting or stinging insects, dust, etc.
Possess the ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
Work with, near, and around hazardous equipment
Ability to work overtime and be subject to on call work
Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent Tree Pro in a professional manner
Pass a skills assessment
Able to pass a drug test
You must work safely and protect your coworkers at all times.
