Transport Driver/ Brand Ambassador
COMPANY SUMMARY
Rough & Ready Goods is a licensed cannabis distributor and manufacturer based in beautiful Nevada City, California. We formulate, package and wholesale fine cannabis goods like flower, prerolls, medicinal topicals and tinctures, working with dispensaries and brands throughout the golden state.
POSITION SUMMARY
Rough & Ready Goods Transport Driver/ Brand Ambassadors are responsible for loading/unloading trucks, ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers, igniting interest in our curated catalogue of branded products and just generally being a motivated, upstanding ambassador for an essential Nevada County cannabis business.
This entry-level position will begin as on-call, 5 to 25 hours/ week role with a starting wage of $17/hour, with career development opportunities and training provided to applicants who
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes
Keep vehicle in a clean and professional condition
Load and unload products on and off of trucks according to the Company’s specifications
Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher
Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs
Keep complete and accurate records of shipments in transit, including shipping manifests
Collect payments, including cash payments, and deliver to the Company’s accounting department
Engage and inform customers about new products and services
Promote brand awareness and assist sales team in generating sales both on the road, and back at the office
Ask for feedback on provided services and help resolve clients’ complaints
Comply with all applicable state laws and regulations pertaining to the Company’s business
POSITION SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid Driver's License & clean driving record
Consent to authorize the Company to pull and monitor MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) records
Ability to pass company driving test and background check
Proficient computer skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets)
Willingness and ability to drive long distances safely
Enthusiastic attitude, strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Flexible, on-call schedule
Ability to lift 40+ lbs, on occasion
Close attention to detail & a commitment to compliance
+ Experience as delivery driver, truck driver, courier a plus
+ Experience as a sales associate or brand ambassador a plus
