Position Summary:

The very progressive design of the most multifaceted mixed-signal electronic circuits utilizing SOCs, FPGA, video transceivers, hybrid cables, power architecture, thermal design, peripherals, and imagers. Provide leadership and mentoring regarding examination and imitation of various circuits. Provide technical leadership to the corresponding departments, and provide assistance where required concerning other team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Investigate, develop, and recommend new design techniques to our group, including but not limited to new EE components, high-density packaging, and analytical models and techniques.

• Perform system modeling of our product's systems, which include various aspects such as, amplifiers, A/D converters, high-speed serial data, and DSP image processing.


• Interface with other EE's to design and analyze new circuitry per component and system specifications.


• Ensure that designs comply with the quality, safety, and EMC requirements of regulatory agencies.


• Provide support to complete the documentation and production release of the product, including the development and presentation of a Technical Transfer (Theory of Operation) to Manufacturing and Quality personnel.


• Will spend part of his/her time as a member of continuous improvement teams undertaking projects and seeking ways to improve the quality of our end products.

Minimum Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

• Experience using computer schematic software program: Altium or equivalent.


• Experience using: Spice, HyperLynx, or equivalent.


• Understanding of imager technology for color and black and white, single and three-chip, interlaced, and progressive scan.


• Well-informed of analog circuit design as well as high-speed serial data transmission


• Good working knowledge of low noise sensor interface and electronics, high-speed analog, and digital circuits.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High-speed board design (Mixed Signal/Digital)


• Low Noise Power Design


• Experienced and knowledgeable regarding complex video systems. Also, knowledgeable of medical device system regulations (U.S. FDA Quality System Regulation 21CFR Part 820, ISO13485, ISO9001)


• Design and familiarity with image sensors and FPGAs


• Familiarity with Agile Environments


• Familiarity with Endoscopy a plus.
