Position Summary:

This position will direct, manage, and complete various hiring activities for the software lifecycle functions with a stable, exciting, nimble, and hands-on leadership approach. They will ensure that software is regularly upheld and released to production on time and based on current DevOps, architectural, technical debt management, industry best practices and team collaboration. This will be completed alongside peers and other significant stakeholders on a global basis thereby ensuring inter-department efficiencies and quality output of product development projects and other work packages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Oversee the group development effort for mission-critical software system used in highly regulated devices.

  • Manager of core technologies developed by the group. Ensure that SDIS software is developed in the most efficient time with the necessary quality while aligned with the latest methods in Agile SW development and integrity.

  • Lead and implement the Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and architectural infrastructure

  • Lead/supervise efforts related with software implementation, testing, documentation, quality control, product release and support.

  • Support the regulatory process (i.e. FDA approval).

  • Manage budget, project schedule, recruiting, and day-to-day research and development activities of the group.

  • Conduct high-level development collaboration as the lead in software discipline.

  • Participate in meetings for analyzing technology trend, human resource needs, project plan, and market demand. Help to identify the future directions/needs of product development.

  • Experience with microprocessor and embedded systems industry innovations and developments.

  • Knowledge of Internet technologies, communication protocols, networking, network security, and related techniques are desired.

  • Outstanding familiarity of present software development best practices, OOD, design patterns, SOLID, along with various other product related material as it pertains to the full project lifecycle.

  • Work closely with an international development team to deliver extraordinary performance, software for the company's product.

  • Regular attendance is an essential job function.

  • Will spend part of their time as a member of various continuous improvement teams undertaking projects while focusing on product improvements


Minimum Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)



  • Have seasoned experience regarding product-driven management/development for complex software projects

  • Have extensive experience concerning software production and cross-platform development

  • Have extensive knowledge on developing medical device systems along with its regulations

  • Have excellent writing and verbal skills

  • Have extensive background on algorithm creation and application

  • Highly experience with both Linux and Windows


Education & Experience Requirements:



  • M.S. Computer science, E.E, or related fields

  • Have minimum seven years of experience working in an industrial software development

  • Minimum of five years in software development management.


Supervision Requirements:



  • Software Development Engineering Team.
