Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for a Purchasing Agent. Responsibilities of the Purchasing Agent include collaborating and negotiating with suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company. As the Purchasing Agent you will be locating suppliers, researching goods, services and materials and processing purchasing orders. This is the Purchasing Agent position for you if you are a highly analytical and deadline oriented professional!Your responsibilities in this roleDocument records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments
Assess supplier profiles and examine offers
Prepare and present detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.)
Assess and compare suppliers, goods, and services
Suggest cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices
Process and prepare purchase orders
Track inventory levels and decide on purchase needs
Own relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts Requirements - High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position
Quality negotiation and communication skills
Strong documentation and organization skills
Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and inventory management software programs
Excellent research and analytical skills
Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred
