The Water Maintenance Specialist III is responsible for performing lead level work that involves the training, mentoring, and coordination of lower level employees while executing journey-level preventative maintenance and repair duties of municipal water supply and distribution systems.
Education and Experience
Any combination of training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be equivalent to graduation from high school and four years of experience in performing skilled and semi-skilled maintenance related to the assigned work.
Licenses and Certifications
Must possess a:
Valid California Class C driver license
Satisfactory driving record
Grade II Water Distribution System Operator certificate
Requires the possession of or ability to obtain the following in a one-year timeframe:
Unrestricted Class A license with tanker endorsement
Grade II Water Treatment certificate
Grade III Water Distribution System Operator certificate
