This position reports to the CEO of the Hanford Chamber of Commerce.
The Marketing/Membership Coordinator will have demonstrated experience in:
ï§ General business and/or non-profit agency work
ï§ Marketing & Communications
ï§ Program implementation and oversight
ï§ Public and/or community relations
ï§ Customer Service and/or working with volunteers
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
ï§ Assist with programs, services, activities and events to ensure Board and organizational objectives are met.
ï§ Assist with marketing and communication initiatives such as Facebook and other social media outlets, e-blasts, newsletters, news releases, and other communications materials.
ï§ Assist with and ensure a visible and effective public image through regular use of social media, hosting and participating in community forums and special events, and regular contact with identified members.
ï§ Assist with new member recruitment and current member retention.
ï§ Assist callers and walk-in guests as needed.
ï§ Assist with membership funding development, i.e. sponsorships and member/individual donations, contributions from public and private sources.
ï§ Promote attendance and participation at all Chamber events.
ï§ Assist with the development, implementation and management of events and programs, which shall include, but not be limited to: Installation Banquet, 4th of July, KJUG Country Concerts, PSA Luncheon & Charity Christmas Dinner
ï§ Assist with building a strong volunteer base.
ï§ Other duties as assigned.
Experience and/or knowledge, skills and abilities:
ï§ Excellent communication skills with experience in business environment.
ï§ Experience working with Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
ï§ Ability to organize programs and projects to meet deadlines.
ï§ Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
ï§ Ability to represent organization professionally.
ï§ Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing.
ï§ Ability to work independently and as a team.
ï§ Solid organizational skills.
ï§ A high level of enthusiasm and interest that, in turn, motivates others.
Work Schedule:
ï§ Full-time work hours are generally 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an hour lunch.
ï§ This schedule will be adjusted as needed to accommodate Chamber events/activities.
ï§ This is a Non-Exempt position and The Hanford Chamber is an At-Will Employer
