Full Time Construction Estimator, Project Manager, and Quality Control Supervisor

Summary of Responsibilities: Responsibilities of this position include evaluating bid specifications and drawings and preparing unit costs associated with potential projects. Follow through in regard to the scope and quotes of subcontractors is essential. The Estimator/Project Manager/QCS controls construction costs and collects. Working collaboratively with the other full-time estimators, project managers, and owners is critical.

Estimator/Project Manager/Quality Control Supervisor Duties:

Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; setting priorities.

Prepares construction budget by studying plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each proposal.

Prepares bid proposals by evaluating cost, additions, and site requirements.

Obtains quotes from qualified subcontractors and vendors by specifying materials and the scope of work needed.

Maintains actual job costs comparison information reports and review them with owners

Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information in a timely manner.

Has a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned

Develops RFI's and submittals

Maintains quality control for the project by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and communicating with supervisors and owners.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and communicates often with the team.

Creates project schedules as they relate to critical pathways within the project

Skills/Qualifications: Ability to analyze information, developing budgets, build vendor/subcontractor relationships, excellent written and verbal communication, reporting skills, estimating, decision Making, detailed oriented, be able to multitask, work well with others, knowledgeable about quality control.

Preferred Qualifications: Past estimating and project management experience, experience with construction estimating and scheduling software, successful experience working as a project manager.
