The Advisors primary objective is to improve students academic performance through the delivery of a wide range of instructional support; including, academic mentorship, instructional workshops, parent outreach, enrichment interventions, remediation, and coordinating college going events for students in the 11th and 12th grade. The Advisor will work closely with school personnel to develop a college going culture and meet the grant objectives of HSU GEAR UP Program. Candidates must have a strong understanding of college requirements, scholarship applications, and financial aid programs to instruct and support students to apply and attend post secondary education.
