Mad River Montessori School (License #123007301) is looking for a full-time, fully qualified teacher to assist in a traditional Montessori classroom, starting in late August. We are a licensed private, nonprofit Montessori school which serves children from 3 to 6 years old in a mixed age group. Our school was founded in 1980 with the purpose of providing high-quality, authentic Montessori education to area families.
Under the supervision of the Director/Teacher, the candidateâs responsibilities would include: assisting Montessori-trained teachers, care and supervision of children, communication with staff, observation of childrenâs activities, redirection of children when needed, maintenance & janitorial tasks at the end of the school day.
Requirements for employment include:
--12 ECE/CD core units (including verification of required educational units from the CA Dept. of Social Services and/or Dept. of Education.)
--at least 6 months of experience working with children this age
--health clearances, including TB test
--fingerprinting clearances (or record of submission or exemption, if needed)
Starting pay is $13 - $15/hour, depending on experience.
