POSITION SUMMARY: Significant focus and responsibility on Full Service Restaurant, Special Event functions and Express outlet. Is accountable for taking initiative, being people-focused, and delivering an excellent guest experience. Responsible for leading and assisting FOH (Front of House) service teams in all Food & Beverage outlets and concessions. Adaptable to busy, fast-paced environment with a passion for service, a strong desire to provide consistent guest service and an ability to build relationships. Trains, mentors and develops team members. Maintains constant oversight of Food & Beverage audit variances and works with team to maintain reasonable exceptions to standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Continually reviews established service standards and updates and improves where applicable.
Works with accounting to ensure that employees are following policy and procedures as it relates to cash handling and all programs and procedures related to discounting.
Creates and plays consequential role in creating Food & Beverage Marketing Programs.
Actively participates in interviewing, hiring, on-boarding and development of staff.
Leads the effort in maintaining financial expectations for revenues, cost of payroll, and cost of operations.
Maintains working relationship with Culinary, Event Management, Marketing, Hotel Operations, Facilities, Gaming and Accounting.
Resolves guest issues or disputes to the guest’s satisfaction within authority applicable to departmental or service related issues.
Select and supervise team members, prepare and revise schedules as necessary, evaluate team members, assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively and positively with all staff, works proactively with assigned staff to accommodate scheduling needs to maintain a healthy work/life balance.
Works alongside all newly hired Servers, Cashiers, Hosts and F&B Supervisors providing 1:1 on the job training to provide excellent service to patrons.
Assists in all jobs – Server, Host, Busser and Cashier when necessary.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Training, development of team members, coaching and counseling and promotional initiatives that provide opportunity for increased revenue. Will assist in shift coverage and will run shifts as primary individual in charge of operations.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Must be RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) trained and certified.
Must be certified in Serve Safe Food Handler in the State of California.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree with knowledge and experience in managing food and beverage operations preferred.
Associates Degree with course work in hospitality or culinary and at least two (2) years of Management experience in multi-purpose or fine dining restaurant, or dining operation of multiple outlets in hotel, casino, country club, convention centers, entertainment center or free-standing and/or chain restaurant required.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience (Equivalent = two (2) years of direct related experience to one (1) year of education).
Knowledge of and experience with applicable food and beverage operations and regulatory compliance requirements.
Casino experience preferred but not required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Serve Safe Food Handlers Certificate required.
Shall possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by agencies insurance.
