Locally ownen restaurant is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor

32-40 hours per week.
We are a growing, locally owned restaurant seeking a career minded food service professional.
We can provide some training but experience is required.
If you have a passion for food and are skilled at its preparation then we would like to meet you
The position requires both culinary and supervisory skills and is open to both experienced professionals or to those looking to expand their culinary career.
Line cook and prep cook experience needed
Duties can include (depending on experience)
Preparation of daily menu items by following written recipe and cooking procedures
Train and supervise line/prep cooks to ensure compliance to recipes, kitchen procedures, sanitation and cooking procedures
Instructs cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food.
Communicate with staff regarding menu specifications and seasonal changes
Make sure the hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation, starting with the ingredients and ending with the finished dish
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and facility including putting away inventory (FIFO) and prepped foods.
Follows all recipes, specs, and kitchen procedures.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Two or more year's restaurant and/or kitchen supervisory experience required.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
ServSafe® certification, or ability to become certified.
Able to work in a fast paced on your feet for up to 8 hours
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
