Medical-model detoxification and residential treatment program in need of detoxification technicians. Looking for dependable and compassionate people with a desire to work in a busy healthcare environment.

Detox technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, caring for patients in acute withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs, clinically assessing withdrawal signs and symptoms, monitoring mental health symptoms, supervising medication administration, assisting licensed vocational and registered nursing staff, collecting urine samples, rooming patients, taking vital signs, etc.
The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, medication administration practices, crisis intervention, clinical-setting ethics and boundaries, substance use disorder treatment, vital sign ranges, and/or other medically relevant knowledge.
The detox technician is supervised by, and works in collaboration with, a licensed psychiatrist (Medical Director), a family nurse practitioner, RNs and LVNs. This is a great position for pre-nursing/nursing students, pre-PA students, pre-NP students, or anyone looking to diversify their experience in the medical field.
