Mad River Community Hospital Express Health Care Clinic is seeking a Financial Counselor. The Financial Counselor’s responsibilities include verifying eligibility and benefits, validating prior authorizations, estimating charges, and counseling patients regarding their insurance coverage and financial responsibility. They also assist clinic staff with the general operation of the clinic by greeting and registering patients, answering the phone, filing, and providing clerical support to the clinic providers as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience working in a medical office; experience as a financial counselor or similar position is preferred.
Great customer service skills.
Good verbal communication skills to receive and give information in person and by phone.
Emotional maturity and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and patients.
Previous experience in a medical office.
