OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
The Home Health Occupational Therapist has a sound knowledge of the principles of art and science in Occupational Therapy and its scope and practice. The Occupational Therapist uses this knowledge to evaluate patients’ level of function and to assess functional loss. The Home Health Occupational Therapist provides therapeutic modalities and interventions including adaptive equipment that allows for achievement of the highest possible level of independence and optimum level of function for primarily homebound patients.
This position requires emotional stability conducive to dealing with a high stress, fast paced responsibilities, rapidly changing priorities, creative problem solving, from demands of patients and families. Maintaining effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other health care workers is critical.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum/program accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education of the American Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Must be certified as an Occupational Therapist registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association
Minimum one year experience performing occupational therapy skills in a health care facility, Home health experience preferred.
Current California driver’s license, possession of a reliable car, safe and effective driving skills and current auto insurance.
Current BLS certification
Must meet the required elements as stated in the essential job functions.
Wages are based on prior related experience.
