The District Service Adviser oversees independent distributors in the delivery of newspapers to subscribers within a defined geographical area in Humboldt County.
Individuals will supervise distribution of newspapers within assigned districts and maintain high customer service standards while working closely with independent distributors and customer service representatives.
Other duties will include distributor recruitment and contract negotiation; oversite of newspaper and alternate product distribution to drop locations; delivery of open routes as needed; and resolution of customer service issues and communication of service complaints to distributors.
The ideal candidate will have a focus on customer service and must be able to work independently. High school diploma, or equivalent required. Prior newspaper experience in circulation as well as a management background is a plus. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Email, CMS) a must.
Must have a valid California Drivers License, auto insurance and a safe driving record. Must successfully complete a background check.
