A cannabis distribution company UpNorth Humboldt is looking for a Packaging and Labeling Coordinator for our office located in Arcata, CA.
We are seeking the right individual to join our dynamic, rapidly growing company. You will be an integral part of our production team and will work closely with management in the printing and designing of labels while maintaining proper packaging standards at all times. You will need to be ready to help with multiple projects which will require excellent understanding of various software systems. Time management is crucial for success in this position and turn around time of production will depend greatly on your ability to push projects through quickly. Excellent communication skills are required in this position as you will be a liaison with our vendors concerning packaging needs.
Duties:
-Work closely with production and warehouse managers to help facilitate labeling and packaging from inception through to ready for sale
-Create, verify and print stickers and labels for products packaging
-Research and keep up with packaging and labeling requirements for all cannabis and cannabis products
-Ordering packaging supplies in timely manner to ensure supplies are always in stock to complete projects and workflow efficiency continues.
-Liaise with clients regarding packaging and labeling questions and concerns; this includes
compliance related questions specific to packaging
-Design pictures, package, labels for company and clients needs
-Manage companys social media accounts
-Perform various other duties from time to time to support Company business objectives
Job requirements:
-Must be 21 years of age or older
-Graphic design classes or experience is a bonus
-Prior work in the licensed cannabis industry is a huge plus
-Prior experience in label design is a plus
-Experience in using Thermal label printers is a plus
-Understanding of basic visual design principles
-Experience with Google Drive tools (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and Microsoft Suite
-Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
-Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus
-Proficient in navigating Social Media sites
-Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
-Team player, able to communicate effectively with different types of people and roles
-Strong written/oral communication skills
